Nylon Carpet Fibers

Nylon is the most popular fibre in the USA covering about 65% of the total amount of carpets. Nylons advantage is that its easily dyed, the down side is that it will also take in colour from, wine, drinks and food.

You can coat nylon carpets with a stain protector to prevent from spillages.

Nylon carpets will resist spillages from oil, grease, tea, coffee, cola as these are not absorbed. they can also resist strong solvents, acids, alkalies.

You will be able to use reducing agents and some oxidising bleaches (hydrogen peroxide) but not chlorine bleach as this will yellow and cause colour lose if not removed quickly.
